With the help of ash, you can compensate for the deficiency of mineral elements in the soil. It contains trace elements necessary for plants: phosphorus, potassium, magnesium and calcium, manganese salts, iron, sodium, sulfur and boron. Such a complex of nutrients contributes to a full-fledged vegetation, improved vitality and resistance to various diseases, and increases the yield of many horticultural crops.
Ashes can be used to feed tomatoes, potatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, beets, cabbage and other plants. It is used dry or diluted in water. Ash should be used carefully to fertilize blueberries, sorrel, blackberries and conifers, they like acidic soils, and ash belongs to alkaline substances.
Ash can be combined with peat and grass compost. To prepare the solution, you need to take 400-600 g of ash per 10 liters of water. Dry fertilizer is applied at the rate of 250 g per 1 m² of the garden.

It is recommended to stir the infusion every day. The end of fermentation can be judged by the absence of foam on the surface of the infusion and the dark color of the plant mass. The resulting fertilizer should be diluted with water in a ratio of 1:10 and used as root or foliar dressings.
Yeast has established itself as an effective soil conditioner; it contains a large amount of B vitamins, nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus. These substances improve the adaptive properties of seedlings, promote the development of a strong root system of plants, and increase their immunity.
It is useful to use yeast to fertilize ornamental plants, berry bushes, vegetables and fruit trees. Do not use them only for all types of root vegetables, garlic and radish.
You should not constantly apply yeast in the same place, this can lead to potassium deficiency and depletion of the soil. To prepare yeast feeding, you will need 1 sachet of dry yeast, 2-3 tbsp. sugar, 500 g of ash and 10 liters of warm water. All ingredients are mixed in a container and left to ferment for 2-3 hours.
Coffee is good for garden plants. Moreover, you do not need to perform any special actions with it, it is enough just to pour the sleeping coffee grounds onto the beds.
Coffee contains a small percentage of nitrogen required by all horticultural crops. In addition, it attracts earthworms, which loosen the soil in the beds and improve air exchange in the root system. Another useful property of coffee is to help plants absorb important minerals - phosphorus, magnesium, potassium and copper, which they get from the soil.
Onion hulls are a natural source of micronutrients. It contains phytoncides, vitamins A, B, PP, E, C, organic acids and mineral salts. This is an environmentally friendly fertilizer that can be applied dry, and can be used to prepare infusions and decoctions.
Top dressing from onion peel increases the immunity of garden crops, resistance to adverse environmental factors, and strengthens the root system. The systematic use of such fertilizer increases the yield of berries and vegetables: cucumbers, zucchini, potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant.
Eggshells contain a large amount of calcium, which plants need to develop strong stems and root systems, and increase resistance to various diseases. Calcium improves the mineral composition of the soil, which has a positive effect on the yield of vegetables.
As a fertilizer, eggshells should be used in moderation. An excess of calcium in the soil is harmful to flowers and vegetables, and can cause more negative consequences than a lack of it.

Application of pig manure as fertilizer
It is impossible to use fresh pork manure as a top dressing on humus-rich soils and black soil. It is impossible to feed agricultural crops growing in greenhouses with high humidity with this type of fertilizer.
Pig droppings are ideal for use in alkaline soils with a high carbonate content. The fresh substance makes the soil neutral, thereby significantly improving its physical condition.
A fresh and semi-rotten type of organic matter can be used to fertilize crops and flowers that need a lot of nitrogen - rhubarb, potatoes, eggplants, bell peppers, peonies, dahlias, lilacs, balsam, roses, carnations. Fertilization is also allowed in the soil of fruit plants - blackberry, viburnum, raspberry, plum, cherry, garden strawberry.
Humus or a mixture of horse and pork manure is suitable as a top dressing for all types of soil. When sawdust or straw is added to an organic product, a substance is obtained that is suitable for introduction into loamy soils.
It is recommended to use pork manure as an organic feed for early crops - pumpkins, zucchini, carrots, onions, early ripening cucumbers.
When using pig manure as a top dressing, additional nitrogen fertilization is not required.
The over-matured type of fertilizer is used to feed agricultural crops that do not require an increased nitrogen content in the soil - corn, tomatoes, beets, leafy greens, all annual types of flowers, bulbous ornamental plants, primrose, delphinium, apple, currant, gooseberry, pear tree.
Optimal use of pork manure is humus. Humus will be most beneficial for plants if it is laid in the soil in late autumn, almost at the beginning of winter (before the onset of persistent frosts).
To prepare compost, you need a special container - it can be a pit or a box. It is better if the humus preparation container does not have a bottom, and it should be placed on "bare" ground. When such conditions are organized, earthworms will begin to penetrate into the product, contributing to the acceleration of the process of "transformation" of fresh manure into humus.
- in a pit or box, layers of pork droppings and plant materials (straw, sawdust, foliage) alternate
- periodically it is necessary to loosen the layers, this will help rid the organic fertilizer of helminth eggs and other harmful microorganisms
- storage duration - at least a year

It is possible to determine the readiness of humus by the following parameters: deep-dark color, lack of a specific smell, friability of the structure, a decrease in volume from the original form by 70-80%.
Laying in the ground
There are 2 methods of using organic feeding:
- After the snow melts at the summer cottage, a deep hole is dug, fresh manure is laid in it and sprinkled with a layer of soil (about 20 cm). By the beginning of the sowing period, semi-rotted manure will be ready. It can be left for further storage or used as a fertilizer for crops that are in dire need of nitrogen.
- In autumn, bury the droppings in the soil. Next year, make ridges from the fertilized soil area and plant agricultural crops on them.
Another common way to use pork manure is to mix it with other organic products - horse or cow manure, straw, peat, sawdust. After combining the active components, the finished mixture should be stored in a cool and dark room for at least a week. During this period, all harmful compounds from the organic mixture will evaporate.
With proper use, an excellent organic fertilizer is obtained from pig manure, saturated with mineral compounds that are important for the rapid growth and active fruiting of cultivated plants.
Pig manure is a product of the processing of all kinds of food in the digestive tract of our "patches". And where manure is, there is always a question - can it be used as fertilizer? In the case of pig manure, everything is far from so unambiguous - in some cases it is really capable of bringing great benefits, while in others it can cause irreparable harm to plants. So what to do - to resort to his help, or is it still not worth it?
How is pig manure different from other types of manure?
Pig manure differs from manure obtained from other animals primarily in that it contains much larger volumes of acids. This is due to the fact that the digestive tract of pigs is simply unable to break down acids into other useful compounds.
Advantages and disadvantages
Gardeners and gardeners appreciate pig manure for its availability, as well as for its saturation with a number of useful substances. There are especially many nitrogenous compounds in it. In addition, such manure is characterized by impressive porosity and nutritional value, and it does not transmit heat very well, which is also a plus.
As for the shortcomings, there are not so many of them in pig manure - firstly, it is really too saturated with acids, and, secondly, it is characterized by a longer decomposition period than all other types of excrement.
Features of use
If you use pork manure wisely and carefully, it will only be beneficial. At the same time, both humus and completely or half-rotted manure can be used. In principle, you can use fresh raw materials, but this must be done with extreme caution, and this is usually done either in the fall or in the spring, when garden crops have not yet been planted. If you risk feeding the crops planted on the site with fresh manure, they can get quite serious nitrogen and acid burns, and the soil under these crops will for a long time lose its suitability for their full growth and development. In addition, residues of plant seeds and food contained in fresh manure can severely clog the soil, and it has long been known about parasite eggs that they can pose a serious danger to both people and pets. If suddenly there is a need to urgently fertilize the soil, it is recommended to add a little lime to the fresh manure and combine it with horse or cow manure in equal parts. And mulching the soil with fresh raw materials is generally not worth it!
Half-rotted pig manure is a raw material that has lain from six months to a year. Such manure is much less dangerous for both soil and vegetation, however, when using it, some caution and a reasonable approach will also not hurt, since half-rotted manure is usually still quite moist and is characterized by a fairly decent content of nitrogen and acids. It is suitable for adding to the soil during autumn digging, while its amount should be relatively small.
And the rotted manure that has lain for more than a year is even more useful - it is no longer so oversaturated with nitrogen, most of the acids contained in it quite safely disintegrated into separate valuable elements, the parasites in it died, and the seeds of weed vegetation were thoroughly rotted. As a rule, such manure loses up to fifty percent of its original weight, however, in any case, it continues to be a rather concentrated fertilizer, and therefore it is not worth using more than five to six kilograms of rotted manure per square meter of area. And, of course, after using it, you should not apply nitrogen fertilizers to the soil - the nitrogen contained in the manure will be more than enough!
The best organic fertilizer is definitely humus! And in order for pig manure to turn into this very humus, it must spend more than two years in a compost pit or heap! Such humus is an ideal raw material for fertilizing the soil: it will be guaranteed excellent heat transfer, balanced volumes of nitrogen, the absence of helminths and parasites, as well as impressive friability and a minimum of acids with a maximum of useful trace elements. And in order to speed up the process of obtaining pork humus at least up to one and a half years, you can mix it with horse or cow manure, or add ash or sawdust to it. By the way, pig manure containing sawdust can also be used as bedding for trees! So if you have such raw materials on your site, be sure to try to find a worthy use for it!
